Sculptor Steven Woodward was commissioned by the Walker Art Center for a project in the Children’s Art Lab that related to the Walker’s sculpture Garden. Steven understood the key materials in the Garden are wood, stone and steel, so he, a woodworker, invited stone sculptor David Culver & myself to join him in this commission which Steven titled THE KEY TO THE GARDEN.. We each designed & built our own workstation that seated about 9 kids & these 3 individual workstations were exhibited together in the Children's Art Lab. The Workstation shown in the following images is my steel design & fabrication.
