“….(Kate) Hunt’s architectural metalwork for historical buildings (a balcony & a recessed storefront) on Highland in Marfa displays a sensitivity to material & to the dictates of commercial usage. However, unless you look carefully at the details, you can pass by the buildings & not realize that she has turned the reveals of the plate glass windows inside out, quietly subverting a Modernist architectural vocabulary while respecting historical context.”
